Cancer-stricken reality television star Jade Goody has just hours to live, with reports from the UK saying that she is too terrified to sleep from fear she will never wake up again.
Family and close friends have gathered around the former Big Brother star, who is not expected to live past tomorrow, UK tabloid News Of The World reports.
A close friend told the newspaper that when Goody began to feel that her time is nearly up, the 27-year-old cried out for her newly-wed husband Jack Tweed.
"Sadly she is very close to the end," the unnamed friend told NOTW.
"One of the problems is she's terrified of falling asleep because she's afraid she'll never wake up."
Goody's spokesman, Max Clifford, confirmed that her condition had deteriorated, and said Goody could no longer see visitors
Parole officers have set new curfew rules to allow Tweed, who has been released early from a jail sentence for assault, to stay with his wife around-the-clock instead of having to report to his mother's house.
Goody has sold media rights to recent events including her wedding to 21-year-old Tweed on February 22 and the weekend christening of her two sons and her.
On her first Big Brother appearance, the ex-dental nurse from south London shot to fame for her loud mouth and lack of general knowledge.
On Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, she sparked a major row in Britain and India over her treatment of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty after she was accused of racist bullying towards the Indian star.
